Emergency Food & Shelter (EFSP)
The Department of Homeland Security awards county specific funds that the United Way monitors that assist with up to $250 on utility bills annd $350 towards mortgage.
IHL partnered with Ohio Valley Regional Transit Authority to sell bus passes out of our office. We sell passes and tokens at OVRTA prices.
For those people who need assistance from IHL but cannot get to our office, we make house calls to help.
St. Vincent De Paul Clothing & Furniture Vouchers
IHL provides vouchers to anyone in need of clothes, household items, furniture. It is free of charge from SVDP.
Ohio County Helping Hand
This fund is 100% funded by Ohio County churches who share in our mission to help others and is used solely for Ohio County residents.
WV residents seeking assistance with eye glasses and/or hearing aids can obtain applications through IHL.
WV residents who have a termination notice or have had their utility shut off are eligible for assistance. IHL can help with up to $300 for AEP and up to $500 with Mountaineer Gas.
State Health Insurance Program (SHIP)
The Bureau of Senior Services awards funding to ensure all eligible individuals and families are signing up for the best Medicare and Medicaid for them.
Belmont County Helping Hand
This fund is 100% funded by churches in Belmont County, Ohio who also share in our mission to help others. This money is utilized solely for Belmont County residents.
YWCA Clothing Boutique
Vouchers are provided for women to purchase work, interview, or court clothing.
IHL tracks and provides lists of all available food pantries in the counties we serve.
IHL partnered with several area Veterans agencies to provide the best care and support system for our veterans requiring assistance.
